Church Life

At LFCC, we are committed to one another as members of the same body, brothers and sisters in the same family. We don't plan activities to make each other busier -- we're all busy enough! But we enjoy spending time together, strengthening the relationships that we count on whether we're celebrating life's triumphs or grieving life's losses.

Linger Longer. Don't leave as soon as worship ends -- linger a little longer, for a cup of coffee and a cookie, or just for the friendly conversation. Sign up on the bulletin board where the two hallways intersect if you can help set up and clean up each week.

Joys and Concerns. You can share your life with the church in many different ways, and we will pray for God's help and presence. Send prayer requests by email to Rev. Abby , or announce them during worship when the time comes. You may also write down your prayer requests and hand them to Rev. Abby or any of our members, and we'll make sure to pray.

Christian Women's Fellowship. The women of the church are always invited to all CWF events, from the monthly Supper Club to any of several groups that meet for Bible study, quilting, discussing books, or working on crafts. CWF also leads the church in service projects -- we wouldn't be the same without the strong women who have always made the Christian Church what it is.

Older Adults. Friendships built on faith are the best kind. Our older adults have many chances to strengthen their relationships and support each other in discipleship. The retirees' breakfast convenes at IHOP on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, the second Tuesday of the month, at 9 a.m. TONTO meets at the home of Mary Jo Alvord on the first Tuesday afternoon of the month. Our midweek Bible study on Wednesdays at 10 a.m., as well as second Wedsnesday meeting of the Ewing Circle of CWF, help older (and younger) adults stay connected through Bible study and prayer. Fellowship gatherings are planned throughout the year at other times, too.
